Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has some lovely festivities planned for Prince Archie's fourth birthday today, which they're celebrating amidst King Charles's coronation.
While Prince Harry attended his father's coronation in London this morning, Duchess Meghan remained home in California with their daughter Princess Lilibet and son Archie, who turns four today. Insiders have told People and Entertainment Tonight that the duchess will mark the big day by hosting an intimate gathering with friends and family in their hometown of Montecito.
"It's going to be a low-key party at home," a source told People. "They'll have friends around them and Meghan's mom, Doria [Ragland]. Meghan will definitely have support that weekend."
BAZAAR.com previously reported that the little prince's fourth birthday likely influenced the family's RSVP status for the coronation.
The Duke of Sussex stopped by London for a quick visit to attend the historic ceremony at Westminster Abbey, but BAZAAR understands he left the abbey with his fellow royal relatives after his dad was crowned, and is now heading back to California. The only members of the royal family Harry spoke to during the coronation ceremony were those he was pictured next to.
BAZAAR previously reported that Harry would be flying into London shortly before the May 6 event and leaving immediately after, which meant he would stay in the city for less than 48 hours and would not attend the coronation events on May 7 and 8, including the Coronation Concert, the Big Lunch, and the Big Help Out.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet previously traveled to London for their late Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee weekend, which marked Archie's first return to the U.K. since the family moved to California, as well as Lili's first time in the country. The 23-month-old also celebrated her first birthday during the trip last June.
