Jodie Turner-Smith Wore No Pants Just a Thong on the Red Carpet

October 2024 · 2 minute read

Last night, a flurry of stars flocked to the Vogue World: London event in the city's West End at Theatre Royal Drury Lane wearing outfits that demanded drama — from Sienna Miller's whipped meringue maternity look to Maude Apatow's princess-inspired two-piece set that came complete with a veil.

But perhaps no one was as committed to serving a look more than Jodie Turner-Smith, who showed up on the red carpet in nothing but a black satin thong.

Exuding confidence with a capital C, the actress bared nearly her entire butt in fancy Viktor & Rolf underwear while sporting just a sculptural swath of fabric wrapped around one shoulder and tied into a bow at her exposed midriff. Turner-Smith accessorized with sky-high black stilettos, diamond drop earrings, and black opera gloves adorned with a diamond bracelet and a massive sapphire ring. Her glam included exaggerated fuchsia cheeks, winged eyeliner, and glowing skin from head to toe.

This year's Vogue World: London was spearheaded by Vogue’s Anna Wintour and Edward Enninful, as well as theater director Stephen Daldry, and benefitted the performing arts organizations in the city — including the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House, South Bank Sinfonia, and the Rambert Dance Company.

It also served as the kick-off event for the U.K.'s Fashion Week, with the ceremony concluding with a reunion between the '90s supermodel OGs Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, and Naomi Campbell.
