Sharing a photo of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, the Duchess of York wrote: "So proud of my girls Beatrice and Eugenie @unitednations HQ. Eugenie hosted a conference about ending slavery in New York @princesseugenie #theun #newyork #nyc #usa."

The princesses were at the UN headquarters to host a meeting about ending modern-day slavery across the world. The topic is particularly important to Princess Eugenie, who is the Director of the Anti-Slavery Collective, which she co-founded with Julia de Boinville earlier this year.

Upon launching the Anti-Slavery Collective, Princess Eugenie spoke at the Change Makers Summit back in March 2018, and said (via Town & Country), "We will be starting an Anti-Slavery Collective which is all about raising awareness of global slavery. Creating a platform where everyone works together, shares data and incredible stories."

Previously, Princess Eugenie worked with The Salvation Army when they campaigned to put an end to modern slavery. Speaking about meeting group of women in India who had experienced human trafficking, Princess Eugenie revealed (via Hello!), "I think that was so shocking. [Modern slavery is] on our own doorstep when you think it is a million miles away."

The Yorks are currently planning Princess Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank, which will take place on October 12, 2018. It's been revealed that the wedding reception will be held at Royal Lodge in Windsor, the family home of Eugenie's father, Prince Andrew.
