Sydney Sweeney knows how to turn up the heat on the red carpet, whether she's wearing sheer dresses or a daring breastplate, and her most recent appearance is no exception. On Sunday, the actress attended the 2024 People's Choice Awards in a fiery red Jessica Rabbit-style gown.
Sweeney posed on the teal carpet in a plunging crimson Mônot column dress (reminiscent of the cartoon bunny's va-va-voom look) with a cinched midsection, under-wire top, floor-skimming hem, crisscross back straps, and a knee-high leg slit in the rear. Matching cherry-colored strappy heels peeked through the skirt's opening, and she finished off the look with massive diamond stud earrings and a smattering of matching rings.
When it came time to glam, the star kept things equally as sultry with a smoked-out eyeliner look, a matte mauve lip, and face-framing curtain bangs and long blonde waves.
During the show, Sweeney and her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell (their friendship has made quite a few headlines over the last year) took to the stage to present the award for Female Country Artist and were joined by songwriter Natasha Bedingfield. The trio began singing the artist's hit song "Unwritten," a cheeky nod to Sweeney and Powell's 2023 rom-com.
“You alright, Glen?” Sweeney asked during the bit, to which Powell responded, “Yeah, it’s just a lot of people here. I don’t know, I’m a little nervous.”
“Do you want me to do that thing that calms you down?” Sweeney asked. She proceeded to break into Bedingfield's 2004 tune, referencing the hilarious scene in Anyone But You when Powell's character Ben sings the 2004 tune to soothe himself. When Powell insists that his co-star and the audience's rendition isn't going to cut it, Sweeney calls for backup. “Okay, then it’s time to bring out the big guns," Sweeney said as Bedingfield appeared singing the song.
