Tracee Ellis Ross Wears Breezy Floral Dress to Tribeca Film Festival

August 2024 · 2 minute read

Tracee Ellis Ross made a bright appearance at the 2023 Tribeca Festival this past weekend.

The actress attended the premiere of Cold Copy at the SVA Theatre on Sunday, looking lovely in a breezy floral gown. The cape dress hailed from Jil Sander’s pre-fall 2023 collection and featured a bright yellow flower print on a soft-teal background. The bottom of the dress looped up at the bottom to become one with the sleeves and neckline.

Styled by Karla Welch, Ellis Ross—who always likes to have fun with her fashion—accessorized the piece with big gold-plated earrings by Mara Paris, brown strappy leather sandals, and a matching brown leather bag. She wore a white manicure and pedicure, shimmering teal eye shadow, and a glossy nude lip. Her hair was pulled back into a chic bun.

The Black-ish star shared photos of her happy look on Instagram, as well as sweet clips of her hugging dad Robert Ellis Silberstein, who came to support her at the premiere. She wrote in the post caption, “baby’s 1st TRIBECA … COLD COPY #DianeHager.”

Ellis Ross plays Diane Hager, a smart, respected, cutthroat television journalist who begins mentoring an ambitious trainee, eventually leading them both into trouble.

“There’s a way that you can tell stories, you can create a frame around a story that completely changes the identity of a human being, their humanity,” the actress told Variety in a recent interview. “I think Diane Hager really is a part of that system.”
