Women, Inspiration and Enterprise: these are the basis of the platform for the impressive WIE Network, which held its 4th annual conference this past weekend at New York City's Standard Hotel. The yearly symposium hosted an impressive crowd—from talk show giant Katie Couric to crystal magnate extraordinaire Nadja Swarovski—and celebrated the organization's theory on "The Female Advantage."
The night was structured around hot-topic panel discussions led by a flight of famous faces including Amanda de Cadenent, Lauren Bush Lauren, and Sharon Bush, each of whom dissected generational shifts. Trainer to the stars Tracy Anderson discussed branding, and Amber Valletta, Catherine Malandrino, Nadja Swarovski, and Alina Cho tackled a big one: what women really want.
Also in attendance was the belle of the ball, and the definition of a multi-hyphenate: Tyra Banks. The former supermodel, entrepenuer, and Harvard grad was lauded with this year's Enterprise Award. She also joined Brooke Shields in a panel discussion moderated by Bazaar's own Laura Brown. The multi-hyphenate exited the event with a shiny new award, a custom Swarovski ring, and we can only assume, a smize.
